Author Guidelines
Prepare manuscripts that are academically rigorous, ethically responsible, clearly structured, and aligned with Palanta's focus on social sciences and humanities.
1. Scope and Scholarly Contribution
Submissions must fit the journal's focus on social sciences and humanities and should make a clear theoretical, empirical, conceptual, or interdisciplinary contribution. Palanta particularly welcomes work that links locality, culture, indigenous or local knowledge, community practices, and social transformation with broader academic conversations.
2. Manuscript Language and Length
- Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English.
- The main manuscript must contain at least 7,000 words, excluding abstracts, references, tables, figures, and appendices.
- The article title should contain no more than 12 words.
- Indonesian and English abstracts are required, each approximately 200–250 words.
- Provide 3–5 keywords in each language and separate keywords with semicolons.
3. Manuscript Structure
Title and Author Information. Provide the article title, author names, institutional affiliations, city and country, email addresses, and ORCID identifiers where available.
Abstract and Keywords. The abstract should state the background or significance, objective, method or analytical approach, principal findings, central interpretation, and major implication or conclusion.
Introduction. Present the problem, social or humanistic context, research gap, significance, novelty or scholarly contribution, objectives, and critical engagement with relevant previous studies.
Methods. Explain the research design or approach, setting, sources or participants, sampling or informant selection, data collection, instruments where relevant, analytical procedures, validity or trustworthiness, and ethical considerations.
Results and Discussion. Present findings systematically and interpret them using relevant concepts, theories, literature, local context, and wider social-science or humanities debates.
Conclusion. Answer the research objectives or questions, state the article's main contribution, and where relevant identify implications, limitations, and future research directions.
References. Use APA 7th Edition consistently. Include active DOI or URL information where available and ensure that references correspond to in-text citations.

5. Ethical and Submission Requirements
- The manuscript is original and is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal.
- All authors have approved the submission and agree to be identified as authors.
- Permissions have been obtained for copyrighted material included in the manuscript.
- Where relevant, research involving participants, communities, confidential information, or culturally sensitive knowledge has followed appropriate ethical safeguards.
- Conflicts of interest and relevant funding or institutional support are disclosed.
- All instructional text from the article template is removed before final submission.
